Sarasota Ballet's Alexei Kondratyuk joins the faculty at SRQ Dance, Inc.!

Alexei Kondratyuk was born in the city of Kourgan in the Ural mountains. He graduated with honors from the State Choreographic Academy of Perm, Russia in 1996. Following graduation, he performed as a soloist with the Cheliabinsk Theater of Opera and Ballet. In 1997, he joined the Grigorovich Ballet Theater and toured in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Germany, Great Britain and the United States. His repertoire includes ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Don Quixote, Raymonda, Swan Lake, Chopiniana, La Sille Mal Gardee, La Bayadere, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Nutcracker, principal roles in Spartacus and the peasant pas de deux in Giselle. In 2000 and again in 2002, he was awarded Laureate of the Philip Morris International Ballet Competition. He is happily married to Irina and has a son Ilya. He performed in many ballets including Mr. Robert de Warren's Swan Lake, La Boutique Fantasque, Jim Buckley's Anne Frank, Satanilla, as well as Pavel Fomin's Hommage a Chopin and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Alexei will be teaching ballet and pointe to our Professional level dancers. We welcome him with open arms!
